ok i had this problem in the avengers too
you can’t come out of a deep water dive and expect to be perfectly fine flying at high altitudes
the subject would get crazy decompression sickness
aka the bends
like even more crazy than just coming out of a dive
so when sky captain dives under water in his submersible plane and then flies back to a high altitude
and then when tony was fixing that machine underwater and then shot straight up into the sky
welp they would probably be dead

oh well this movie is really good so far
especially if you stop thinking that it’s a movie from 2004 and rather an old 1950s film! which i think was the intention of the director.
plus it’s kinda neat seeing the somewhat bad greenscreening, since literally everything is filmed with a greenscreen in this movie. hah, that’s 2004 i guess!
